Laser therapy uses concentrated light energy to energize cells and stimulate faster healing while reducing inflammation and pain in the process. We use laser therapy for pets in a variety of ways including the treatment of chronic conditions, injuries, and post-surgical recovery. Some of the conditions it helps treat include:
- Arthritis in Cats & Dogs
- Degenerative joint disease
- Intervertebral disc disease
- Hip dysplasia
- Wound healing
- Lick granulomas
- Hot spots on Dogs
- Dermatitis
- And more
Laser therapy sessions can last from about 5 minutes to 30 minutes, and their frequency depends on your pet’s condition. Post-surgical recovery and injuries may only need one session. For chronic conditions such as arthritis, we recommend 2-3 sessions per week in the beginning. Once improvement is seen, we’ll be able to cut down sessions to once a week, then once every two weeks, once every month, etc.
